The First Community Give Back of Maurer Well in the Michiana Area
As the legendary coach John Wooden once said, "Your greatest joy definitely comes from doing something for another, especially when it was done with no thought of something in return." In the month of May 2024, Maurer Well was overjoyed to embody this sentiment by making a significant donation to the United Health Services for the Suicide Prevention Center of St. Joe County. We pledged 10% of our sales of the entire month to the Suicide Prevention Center.
A Community Effort
We are thrilled to announce that our FIRST fundraising campaign was an incredible success! Thanks to the unwavering support of our customers and staff, we raised an astounding $5,000 for the Suicide Prevention Center. This amount covers 35% of their annual shortfall, a substantial contribution that will stay entirely within St. Joe County.
The Impact of Our Contribution
Seeing the joy on the director's face when we handed over the check was priceless. It's moments like these that remind us why giving back to the community is so important. Our contribution will aid in providing critical resources and support for individuals struggling with mental health issues and suicidal thoughts, especially veterans in need of support and mental care. As a family with military history, and a history of mental health struggles, we couldn't be more proud and honored to have helped support their programs, such as the Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Program.
